Shaki
Shaki is located in northwestern Azerbaijan. This is a significant city at the crossroads of the historic Silk Roads inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Shaki caravanserais used to be a center of exchange and negotiations for merchants and other people traveling along the Silk Road. Shaki is the city with religious diversity, there existed numerous mosques and churches. With the spread of Christianity, early Christian Albanian churches appeared in the city and its surroundings. Palace of Shaki Khans, Caravanserai, Kish Albanian Temple and other similar architectural monuments, mountains which covers the city, craft workshops and textile museums, rifle through antiques at the bazaar, national cuisine make Shaki attractive for tourists.
