Khizi

Khizi region is located in the north-east of Azerbaijan. The landscapes of Khizi that consist of dense forests (9931 ha, 6% over country), mountains at an altitude of 2000 meters, including the Beshbarmag mountain, swirling pink mountains, Caspian Sea shoreline, and semi-desert plains, are sight to behold.

One of the most beautiful villages of Azerbaijan – Altiagac is located in Khizi district. The Shirvanshahs and their camel caravans were passing through Altiagac on their way from Shamakhi to Guba.
