Being a wonderful way to explore one of the world’s most fascinating destinations, “Show Me Azerbaijan” is an exceptional opportunity for social media influencers and bloggers to experience the fascinating culture, and dive into the atmosphere of the architectural and environmental beauties of Azerbaijan. It is an excellent chance to visit a country with nine out of eleven climate zones, essential multiculturalism, and deep historical past. Participants get an opportunity to visit various parts of the nation and see magnificent cities like Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, its cultural center, Shusha, and Shaki, and others, where you can see museums, historic sites, mighty mountains, and gorgeous hills.
As with last year’s project, the participant will travel to Azerbaijan’s Karabakh region this year as well. The attendees will be able to see the impressive revival of the liberated territories, which is expected to experience one of the largest population movements of this century. After experiencing a war in the early 1990s of the 20th century, Azerbaijan saw an influx of almost 1 million refugees and internally displaced people (IDPs) into several of its districts. These areas have been largely uninhabited for more than 30 years, and the Armenian side has brutally destroyed their architectural and cultural beauty. In 2020, Azerbaijan was able to liberate the occupied 20 percent of its total land area, and start the process of rebuilding the region.Since then, the nation has made significant efforts to restore the culture, architecture, and livelyhood in its Karabakh region. The pearl of the program is a visit to Shusha, Azerbaijan’s cultural capital and the birthplace of numerous notable poets, composers, actors, and other culturally and historically significant figures.Ilham Aliyev, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, proclaimed 2022 to be the year of Shusha. Participants have a fantastic opportunity to see Shusha’s environmental beauty, cultural revival, architectural greatness, as the result of the huge scale of reconstruction activities in the region. The largest city in the South Caucasus and capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, will also be a part of the project. The “Paris of the East,” or as the locals refer to it, “The City of Winds,” is the term given to the city that is renowned for fusing Eastern and Western, as well as old and modern, architecture. The bloggers will also travel to Sheki, a historic city rich in monuments and attractions, as part of the initiative. The Khan’s Palace, where the Sheki Khanate’s emperors lived, is the centerpiece of the city’s historical district, which is included as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Along with getting a chance to create engaging material for blogs, websites, and video pages, participants will be able to learn more about the area from Azerbaijani cultural representatives, professional storytellers, and historians. We are sure that this project will make a lasting effect on you given the cities that will be visited. The project, which is nonprofit and has cultural and social elements, aims to introduce Azerbaijan to a wider audience through worldwide social media influencers, including the country’s rarely visited Karabakh region.
